After 24 years serving our nation—8 years in the U.S. Army and 16 at the CIA—I decided to retire, return home, and focus on my family. But I didn’t leave behind my commitment to defend this country.
A Turning Point for Our Democracy
I’ve always believed in America’s ability to endure and prevail. But after the 2024 election and the shocking breach of the U.S. Treasury by Elon Musk and his DOGE crew, I saw our democracy under attack, while our leaders did nothing. To me that was a betrayal of the highest order, and that is what compelled me to act.
Why I’m Running
I took an oath to protect this country from all enemies, foreign and domestic. That oath still guides me today. I’m running for Congress in Florida’s 12th Congressional District to restore accountability, defend democracy, and fight for working families.

- Strong unions and a living wage.
- Raising the minimum wage and fully funding childcare.
- Paid family leave and affordable housing.
- Strengthening Social Security by eliminating the income cap.

- Fully funded public schools and higher teacher salaries.
- Tuition-free college and trade schools.
